This work explores a variety of relationships—between the true beauty and temporal movement of butterflies, and the timeless, yet human-made beauty and fixed nature of stained glass. All my pieces are meant to bring beauty to life and in the process awaken the viewer to the aliveness and beauty within them. I believe awareness of the divine can transform individuals and change the world; my art is my contribution.

This piece was first conceived as a digital collage, composed entirely of hand painted butterfly and moth images. The collage is then fused onto the aluminum tiles. Kinetic by nature, the individual tiles move and shimmer in beautiful and unexpected patterns with the slightest breeze.
